It's back! After the incredible success of the inaugural Great Leeds Walk, we’re thrilled to invite you to take on the challenge in 2025!
Ready to be part of the adventure? Embrace the challenge and join us for the 'Great Leeds Walk' for it's second year and help brighten children's lives in Leeds.
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Leeds, right on your doorstep! The Great Leeds Walk will start and finish at Lineham Farm, taking you on a journey through urban spaces and the wonderful countryside of rural Leeds.
Explore the wonderful sights this diverse city has to offer, all while raising vital funds to support young people across Leeds who face challenges and disadvantages in their daily lives.
It costs on average £250 per child for a week’s stay at Lineham Farm. Every penny counts to help us keep supporting as many children as possible. Donations directly support the provisions of the charity, helping to provide experiences that every child deserves!
Leeds Children's Charity at Lineham Farm is dedicated to Brightening Children's Lives by providing unforgettable breaks and valuable learning experiences.
Your support could give a child their first bike ride, nature walk or warm bed.
We recommend setting a fundraising goal to maximise the impact of your support.
£250 will fund a one week break for a child at Lineham Farm. Providing them with much needed respite and the chance to experience fun & adventure - childhood as it should be! Your support could give a child their first bike ride, nature walk or warm bed.
£500 will fund a family weekend, offering a much-needed escape and the chance to create joyful memories. Your support will provide families facing challenges with an opportunity to reconnect, recharge, and make lasting, happy memories.
Choose a distance you feel comfortable with and start your journey! The walks will be self-led and there will be markers and marshals along the route.

Leeds has so many incredible spots to appreciate! On this walk we have the Chevin Forest Park with its unreal views of the ice age forged valley, Otley, the Almscliffe Crag, Washburn Valley and the telecoms tower that sits in the Norwood Edge Forest plantation.
We head through Horsforth and Meanwood, where we walk past the old fairground site and the uniquely named natural spring, the Slabbering baby. We pass the old children’s home at Eastmoor before reaching the Eccup reservoir and the red kite release zones.
